12 Weeks of Techno: Eyes and Ears on the Ground January 13, 2016 11:10

This is the first of a 12 weekly series where I randomly choose somebody off of Twitter who has been to the previous weekend's 12 Weeks of Techno event and grill them in depth about their experience. This week, I closed my eyes, spun Twitter around and planted my finger on the profile picture of @LewisAllen14.

Q. What's your name and where do you come from?
A. My name is Lewis Allen, and I come from Hertfordshire…in the Watford area.

Q. What time did you get to XOYO?
A. I got to XOYO around 11:15pm. I was running a bit late.

Q. What time did you leave?
A. I left around 3:15am

Q. Did you pull?
A. Unfortunately not, I was more focused on the music than the girls. Ha ha! ;)

Q. Tune of the night?
A. My tune of the night was probably when Scuba dropped Steady Note by Daniel Bortz. However there are three videos on my Facebook and I can’t find the track ID. Feel free to check my Facebook out to help find the track ID for me. Would be much appreciated.

Q. Stone cold sober or absolutely fucking terminated?
A. Well at the start I was sober. Even though I drove in my car to XOYO. Very naughty of me but I got CONTENT REMOVED BY HOTFLUSH LAWYERS towards end of the night. I CONTENT REMOVED BY HOTFLUSH LAWYERS throughout the night, ha ha! Took way too much CONTENT REMOVED BY HOTFLUSH LAWYERS. At the end of the night I was fine to drive home. Just couldn’t hack the last 45 minutes.

Q. Any funny anecdotes from the night?
A. Nah. Really enjoyed myself though.

Q. Will you be going along to any of the other Weeks of Techno that Scuba is putting on?
A. Currently, I have tickets for the 20th February (Mind Against / Veronica Vasicka: tickets available here) and the 12th March (Len Faki / Locked Groove / Brontosaurus Junior Club: tickets available here). I hope to go to a lot more of the nights though, as it’s a mad residency.

What a lovely young man! Lewis tells me that he's a 19 year old student and he's interested in getting into music promotion, events and the usual stuff. Contact him on his Twitter with any offers of work.

This coming weekend sees Jimmy Edgar and Deetron joining Scuba at XOYO (tickets available here)...good grief.

Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow for some more great content.
