I was halfway through writing a 2000 word, heavy-hitting opinion piece about what the best format to play dance music on in clubs is for Resident Advisor when I remembered that what I should be doing is writing a 150-200 word, barely disguised puff-piece advert for Hotflush on their blog…this blog; the Hotflush blog.
I screwed up the vintage Penworthy typewriter paper I'd been hammering on for the last two hours, swooshed it into the waste paper basket in the corner and went online to have a look at my Kowton interview from last week. I was inspired by what Kowton said about t-shirts. He said that he recently bought fifteen black t-shirts to wear every day, and he just rotates them. I thought about that all weekend, so last night I went on the internet and ordered thirty-five mediums of the limited edition Waves T-Shirts (Orange on White) from the Hotflush Recordings website.
They come in five different sizes, they're machine washable, they have traceable inks (!) and they look great on Miami Beach bodies like mine, skinny size 0 supermodel types and fatties like Rik Waller. They're perfect as a present for a loved one or as a greedy payday treat for yourself.
