I'm Still Listening to Prince June 23, 2016 09:30

When David Bowie died in January, I stopped listening to all of his music after about a week. Prince died in April, but I'm STILL listening to loads of Prince songs. That means that Prince is better than David Bowie.

I told my mum that story the other day and she went fucking bananas. She loved David Bowie. Anyway, back to me. I think Prince is wicked, and it's a shame he died, but it's an even bigger shame that when you go on YouTube to look for songs like Lady Cab Driver or the music video for Raspberry Beret (the one with the fucking brilliant extended intro) you get all the right-looking results, but when you click on them you just get a slideshow of Prince's face with the sound of silence, which isn't even a fucking sound. It's absolutely ridiculous, and if Prince were alive today he'd no doubt be rolling around in his grave at the ineptitude of the YouTube staffers for making such a massive mistake.

Now is the time for YouTube to clean up their act and get Prince back on YouTube. Who's with me?

In the meantime, make sure you check out Bill Brewster's recent Stamp The Wax Prince mix, with purple words by Frank Broughton. I've read the words and listened to the mix many times over since it first went up a couple of weeks ago. ...what would Prince do?
