Tonka on Jeff Mills on the STATE of Electronic Music TODAY May 03, 2016 08:12
Jeff Mills said the other day that, "There's no Bob Dylan in electronic music."
That quote was part of an interview he did with The Talks, which covered areas such as cinema soundtracks, industry pressure and imagination limitations, but it was the Resident Advisor Feed headline that caught my eye, because right after I barked out that Jeff Mills said that there's no Bob Dylan in electronic music, Draper shot straight back - aggressively pointing his finger - and said that there's no Bob Dylan in dance music because, "Bob Dylan's a fucking FOLK singer who gets bottled off whenever he tries to plug his fucking guitar in!"
I nodded sagely at Draper's common sense, but I did agree with Jeff when he talks about a load of DJs and producers who, I paraphrase, are fucking shit, but get gigs and money and magazine covers because they work harder on being dead popular than they do on making good tunes and mixes.
I read between the lines and I think Jeff is specifically talking about CONTENT REMOVED BY HOTFLUSH LAWYERS, that bloke who's lived in Berlin since 2013, CONTENT REMOVED BY HOTFLUSH LAWYERS, that cunt with the shit hair cut, her who made that rubbish CONTENT REMOVED BY HOTFLUSH LAWYERS track and CONTENT REMOVED BY HOTFLUSH LAWYERS.
See you tomorrow, guys.
